Everything you need to know about using Afafi safely and meaningfully.
Afafi is free to use. However, some advanced features will be available through a subscription insha’Allah.
Afafi isn't built for casual swiping — each profile is meant to be thoughtfully considered with the intention of marriage.
Female profiles are blurred by default. Photos are only revealed upon a sincere request, and chat access requires wali approval for female users.
Not by default. Male users may choose to blur their photos, but this is a subscription feature.
Both users must mutually like each other before chat becomes available. All chats involving female users are supervised through their wali dashboard.
Once a mutual match occurs, the male can request photo access inside the chat. If the female accepts, the photos are unblurred for 48 hours.
You can post topics just like a Reddit-style discussion. Other users — including our partnered marriage counselors — may respond and offer guidance.
You can directly reach out to our counselors privately. If deeper guidance is needed, you may book their counseling services.
AI performs the initial verification. For manual checks, only female admins review female users, and only male admins review male users.
You can use the app immediately. If verification fails later, you will be prompted to redo onboarding during your next login.
A wali is not required to sign up or browse profiles. However, to begin chatting with a match, a wali must be invited.
In Settings, the female user can provide her wali’s email. The wali receives a link to sign up and will gain access to a dashboard showing all relevant match and chat activity.
